Profession: Stay at home wife to Scott. Stay at home mom to Hunter, Hannah and Emma Grace.
Weight Loss/Inches: 20 pounds
What was your “low point”? I believe my “low point” came after the birth of my third child. I was 38 when I had her and I knew that it was not going to be easy to loose the weight after she was born. I had a picture taken in October of 2012 and I knew then something had to be done. I had always been small and I did not want to feel the way I did any longer.
How did you get started? I joined the gym and began working out by walking and lifting weights. I love working out so I just knew that loosing the weight this way was going to be easy. After a year of trying, nothing worked. So discouraged, I just STOPPED!
I heard about LiveFIT and decided to give it a try. I spoke to Adina and she was so loving and kind to me but it took me months to decide to try out a bootcamp. I went to my first bootcamp in October 2014. Yes, I am an addict of LiveFIT.
What is your workout routine and eating plan? I love to workout. I would be at LiveFIT seven days a week if I could. I do bootcamp at least twice a week. I started doing Pure Power and I am truly inspired by the class. I do upper body and lower body and the results are awesome. I am in the process of training for my first 5K in December. I can’t wait.
I have to be honest, I don’t have the eating down to a Science but who really does? I count my calories and drink lots of water. I am human, so I do have a cheat day which is Pancho’s cheese dip and chips.
What are your top 3 favorite resources that helped you along the way?
1. God: I give him all the glory. Each morning during my quiet time, I not only pray for the situations that come before me, but I pray for healthy choices of the day along with all of us who struggle with our weight.
2. My family: I come from a close family and they all encourage me on a daily basis. Sometimes they joke and tell me I will be 80 years old doing bootcamp. I just might!!!
3. My LiveFIT Family: I can tell you that when I am not working out, I miss my family. From the instructors, to my friends and the team that I am on during all of my challenges. I proudly say that during this last RYJ challenge my team placed 1st!!!
What one piece of advice would you give to someone who is in the process but is feeling discouraged? Don’t give up! Not today, not tomorrow, not ever.
To all of us who get discouraged: You have got this!! When you feel down, look up. I could not tell you how many times, I just wanted to throw in the towel and go eat that Pancho’s dip.
Anything else you would like to share? People who know me would say I am not the type to give up. So don’t you! I know life is busy. Trust me! I have a 20, 18 and 4 year old. I never put myself first. I told someone the other day that when it comes to exercising, I am selfish.
Life is a journey! Come join me at bootcamp, Pure Power, or a studio class.
