Profession: Wife, mother of three (ages 26, 20 and 16), and caregiver to my parents
My Weight Loss/Inches: I love the InBody analysis that LiveFIT offers. It gives a more complete picture than just the scales. I have lost about 14 lbs. so far. All the classes at LiveFIT have helped me to lose inches, lose fat, and build muscle. My journey isn’t over but I now have an amazing support system to help me reach my goals.
My Journey:. I feel like I have been on this journey for the last 26 years when my first child was born. My weight was up to 207lbs when I delivered my daughter. I had always enjoyed being active so I was able to lose the weight but it took about 2 years. I swore that the next time I would not do the same thing but I still gained too much weight with my second child. When I found out I was expecting our third child, I was 35. I knew the weight I gained would not come off as easily so I tried to be more self-disciplined. Although I tried, those last 10-15 lbs. just would not come off. Before I knew it, I was 40, over weight, and out of shape. I decided that I wanted to start running to get in shape. Eventually, I started training for a 5K. I did several 5Ks and found a new sense of self confidence. Also, I saw how my daughter took notice of how I would take time to go train. We all have seasons in life and I was beginning a new one. I had an opportunity to begin a small commercial/residential cleaning service to help supplement our income. It provided perfect flexibility so that I could still be there for my family. By this time, my daughter had started her own fitness routine. She told me about LiveFIT! That’s full circle! She encouraged me to join her in Cycle and Bootcamp. She would get up at 5am to go to a class. Before long, I was joining her in Barre, Cycle and Bootcamp classes. It was just what I needed. Like I said, we all have seasons in life and they’re not all easy. Soon after I started working out at LiveFIT, my mother had a stroke. I decided to quit my business so I could help her out. Since then, my daughter has gotten married and moved to Nashville. My mom is still working hard to recover. She inspires me every day. I work hard every day to keep perspective on how blessed I am to have a body that will allow me to work out. I am so thankful for the LiveFIT community and the instructors.
My “Low Point”:. There have been low points for me throughout this journey. Although my weight hasn’t gotten as high as it did early on, I still have to work at being self-disciplined in both my exercise and eating. I have my break days but I try not to look behind me when I have a splurge. I try to start over the next day. Also, I try to follow the two-day rule. I try not to go more than two days without being active in some way.

Anything else you would like to share? I am encouraged by all the ladies I meet at LiveFIT. We are all in different seasons of life and that’s what makes LiveFIT perfect because we have either already been there or will be there soon. I am so thankful that my daughter encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone. I appreciate the full circle that I have experienced with my journey but I have so much further to go. I encourage anyone who may be on the sidelines like I was to get into the game now. You’re worth the time and effort!
