{Your Story}

What was your “low point”?
February 2016, I stepped on my bathroom scale & realized I was the heaviest I’d ever been in my life! Somewhere I always said I would never be, but there the # was staring me in the face!

How did you get started?
1st journey was BLC 2015, for which I lost 23-lbs, & quite quickly gained right back, plus 20 more because I had not changed my mindset or habits! So I started again March 2016 with the BLC, & this year decided it was going to be my new lifestyle!

What is your workout routine and eating plan?
I eat as much lean protein, chicken & turkey, as I can get; raw veggies & spinach salads; very limited sugar & carbs. I take 3-4 LiveFIT classes a week, & try to mix it up to a bootcamp, of course my Wednesday cycle ☺, some Pure Power, & maybe a cycle/TRX or cycle/Core mix if I have time. When I see an opportunity for a little more effort, I try to take it! I purposely park away from store doors to get more walking, & I take the stairs if I’m not short on time.

3.) believe it or not, Pinterest… I love looking for recipes or exercises that I can do at home!

What one piece of advice would you give to someone who is sitting on the sidelines and waiting?
Do it for yourself, & do it TODAY!!! Do not wait to take control of your life & your body… it is so much stronger than you have probably ever given it credit for! God designed this vessel for us, use it, glorify Him & be joyful in what you can do!

What one piece of advice would you give to someone who is in the process but is feeling discouraged?
We all have bad days!! Use exercise as a stress reliever! Have fun & do NOT this of it as “I have to work out”, but rather “I get to work out”! Don’t let one bad meal, bad day, bad workout stop you from working harder on your next one! Sweat is good stuff!

Anything else you would like to share?
With the amazing support I got from the LiveFIT family (instructors & members), I was able to maintain a sense of peace & calm through some difficult personal trials this year! The encouragement, the prayers for me & with me, helped me keep my mind centered on this journey to take care of myself & my body! It helped me to channel my stress & use it to my advantage, instead of letting it set me back to bad habits! For that I will be forever grateful! I love LiveFIT & all it’s people!
